Maintenance Technician
Markham, ON
Agilus is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry in Markham, Ontario. As a Maintenance Technician you are responsible for the repair and maintenance of various plant equipment. A typical day:- Validate new and existing equipment.
- Utilize manuals, schematics and blueprints to determine how to repair failures.
- Work alongside operators in a cross-functional team setting to minimize machine downtime and improve line output.
- Build, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot hydraulic-mechanical assemblies using procedures, prints, written instructions, or verbal communication.
- Assemble and repair parts and assemblies per process documentation and verbal direction provided.
- Maintain tooling room and ensure the availability of spare parts for corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment using hand or power tools.
Successful candidates will have:- Graduate of a Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Technologist post-secondary program.
- Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment (chemicals, aerosol, solvents, adhesives).
- Experience working with electrical equipment and pneumatics.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents.
- Able to commute daily to Markham.
